I gave my advice, you took it how you wanted, I'm done with it. Suddenly she's not talented enough for not causing damage to your hair? I'd like to think that takes talent, especially when working with your hair type, but Okay. Its weird that you even asked yet seem to already have your solution. I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. I never said it wasn't possible to do the style. Fine doesn't equal straight, and if your hair isn't curly or kinky, these types of styles will not hold up well & are more likely to damage your hair. Perhaps you shouldn't ask for advice from black people in a sub dedicated to black hair, about a style we wear to protect our hair, if you're just going to be snarky when we actually answer your question. It's as if any comment that isn't praising you, is met with this aggression. I didn't say anything that warrants such a defensive response. I've read several of your replies & you're coming off as extremely defensive, even toward me. I’ll definitely have her fix it for me, I know what to suggest now. These singles are about half the width of a pencil are larger than thin braids, so there’s less tension on your hair and scalp. Just because I dislike something about the style, doesn’t mean I hate the style. Small box braids are classy, practical, and can effortlessly highlight your facial features. That’s definitely how it’s been going…people are trying to help, but some of them are coming off as passive aggressive and making me sound like I’m tripping about disliking something. How have I been sounding like a “whiny princess” when the box size is the only thing I’ve been talking about? I’ve been thanking people for their advice all day, even if we didn’t share the same perspective and try to respond to everyone.Įdit: Diva, I am sooo sorry!! I read this ALLL the way wrong and I took it out of context! □□ It’s easy to misinterpret text, so I do apologize for the way I responded!! But everything you said was one of the most accurate things I’ve read so far. Thank you for agreeing about the box size, but this is passive aggressive. I wanted to go lighter before braiding, but I found hair at the beauty supply that matched perfectly (not that easy lol), thank you again! ❤️ And yes ma’am! I want her to keep flourishing & be a boss, she has talent and it should be recognized, I’m bringing the whole crew to her!…And it’s about to be summertime too? Oh yes! I’ve learned a lot today by making this post, it makes sense that she made the boxes wider to accommodate my hair type, I just would like them to match the size at the front/top if anything.
